Overview
The purpose of this project was to develop an eLearning course using a learning management system utilized by higher education and industry.
Scope
Setting up the course, creating online student learning expectations, a syllabus, and learning modules was much easier in this well-designed LMS compared to K-12 learning management systems. Course design, modules, communication, and integration with outside apps, were all features that made this course have an easier design process. The slideshow is used both on the Smartboard and in the LMS for student reference.
Product Description
This eLearning course is intended for middle and high school level students taking an introductory robotics course. The course covers the Texas CTE Robotics I TEKS. The LMS allows for a clean and organized design of the course basics: table of contents, course objectives, syllabus, timeline, grading guidelines, and other course requirements. The layout allows student's learning to be easily managed by both the educator and the student. Introductory activities were created to encourage a positive class culture in an online format. The lessons included teach students about the importance of project management as they prepare for a robotics competition.
